My Garden on Russell Island

The soil is not so good here and despite replacing it, adding mulch and regular watering and care, the plants struggle and have slowly grown. The major problem are two palm trees and they really drain the soil. Currently they are in full flower and full of busy buzzing black native bees.

The climbing rose has started to flower and every few days another rose appears on the end. A second climber has also started to grow. The Princess Monaco Rose has bloomed but is already full blown and looking beautiful.

There are not many other flowers in bloom…just the cordylion, Azaleas and a few geraniums showing small bouquets.
