Caught the end of the sunrise this morning at Weary Bay, Bloomfield, Queensland. Weary Bay is 67 kms from Cooktown….drive the road to Cairns and turn at Lions Den turnoff and continue down 32 kms to Bloomfield. It’s a beautiful beach and you can walk safely along the shore at Low tide. Yesterday there wasContinue reading “Weary Bay Sunrise”
This is the beginning of a new day…and the ending of the night. When the sky turns red you know the new day is beginning. Today I walk with the little dog along the road that leads to the river where I have to be careful as crocodiles lurk here. There is no way myContinue reading “Another Sunrise over the water”
It rained all night and when the alarm went off for the Dawn Service, it was still raining and dark and dismal. So I went back to bed. When I woke up again it was 6.30 and the sky was streaked with a red sunrise.
This morning the sunrise was beautiful. Soft colors reflecting on a silent surface, there was barely a ripple on the water. It was perfectly still, like glass with soft and muted colors.
I wake up every morning when the sky starts to color with the sunrise. It was early today but rich with color, so leaving the little dog snuggled up asleep in his velvet bed, I collect the camera and open the gate to the sunrise
Today the sunrise is purples and pinks. I walk down to the river and see the small jetty here and look across to Mt Cook on the right and the Jetty on the left. The river has crocodiles so I must not walk to the edge. The house on the other corner has put upContinue reading “Sunrise 16 April Endeavour River”
I walked down past the bridge looking for the sunrise but too many trees. I came back and walked Endeavor River as far as I could and back. Its a beautiful walk…Last week the water was above the 2m mark today you can walk along the river bed.
There are beautiful sunrises and sunsets here and viewing is from the back of the home area where there is the staff living quarters and a holding paddock and dam. The home property is shaded with many different trees. Another beautiful day has begun.
It was a dull cold morning with a sharp freezing wind that cut through my body as I walked along the beach beside the water. The sky was grey. I gave up and walked up to the surf Club where a small coffee stand was serving hot coffee and breakfast snacks and walked back toContinue reading “Sunrise and Sunset Kingscliff”
