You can travel to the Jetty by Taxi if you don’t have your own vehicle. Parking is not easy as the parking areas are mostly always full, and if travelling during business and school hours, it seems easier to simply take the local taxi which will take you right to the jetty. All ferries from here go to the Mainland. The ferry heading across to Karragarra Island first is the fastest. The other direction takes in Lamb and Russell Island which makes the journey slightly longer.

SeaLink Bay Islands operates a fast and comfortable ferry service to Russell, Macleay, Lamb and Karragarra Islands. Ferries depart approximately every half hour from the Redland Bay Ferry Terminal (Weinam Creek) located on Banana Street, Redland Bay. For up to date timetable information and to plan your journey on the TransLink network, Translink Timetables are located here.
Check Tides here is you are planning to visit the swimming area as at low tide, the swimming enclosures may lack water https://www.tideschart.com/Australia/Queensland/Macleay-Island/

The ferry takes you to Redland Bay. From Here you can take a bus to Victoria Point or Cleveland for Shopping. SMBI Transport has a car that will take you to Victoria Point for $10. Call 0428 115 886. Buses travel to Capalaba, Logan, Mt Gravatt and Carindale. To travel to the city you take a bus from Carindale or use the Railway from Cleveland. Parking is available around the Jetty area, but again, it is often crowded and difficult to find a parking bay. You can walk over the bridge at Weinman Creek to Redland Bay on the other side where there is more parking. There is a 7 day parking area opposite the permanent parking enclosure but again you have to be lucky to find a parking spot there during business hours. You will get fined if you park illegally or overstay your time.
